Dr. Galanis is a certified Prosthodontist, who received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in Europe in2001 and then became a Houstonian in 2002. Her interest to specialize in implants, complex restorations and esthetic dentistry motivated her to complete a preceptor program in Prosthodontic Dentistry in 2006 at UTDB.
Dr. Galanis, completed her Residency by 2010 in Prosthodontics at the University of Texas Dental Branch (UTDB) in Houston. Along with her residency program, she pursued her Master of Science in Dentistry.She also completed a rotation at the world renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center–Oncologic Dentistry and Prosthodontics Department of Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Galanis provides a wide range of treatment options from simple to complex restorative dentistry. She is offering restorative and cosmetic dentistry from esthetic fillings, crowns, bridgesand veneers to traditional dentures and partials, Implants supported-Snap prosthesis, All-on-4 Teeth-in-a-Day to highly complex full mouth restorations, TMJ and Sleep Apnea. She has planned and restored thousands of implants - with an excellent success rate.
As a dental specialist, Dr. Galanis collaborates with many other dental offices in the greater Houston area. And, in 2014 she opened her private practice, Connect Dental Specialists, with cutting-edge technology for modern dental procedures, and a high tech in-office dental laboratory.
Dr. Galanis is a member of numerous professional dental associations, and continues to expand her training with new dental technologies and patient care practices. Being the people person that she is, she is always excited to work with patients and connects with them personally. She dedicates the time and attention necessary to address each patients’ unique dental needs and creates beautiful esthetic smiles.
Dr. Yamaji completed her surgical training at the world renowned Texas Medical Center, in Houston. During residency, she served as chief resident at the Micheal E. DeBakey Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, Ben Taub General, and Lyndon B. Johnson Harris County Hospitals. The comprehensive training Dr. Yamaji received in various disciplines of internal medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and oral maxillofacial surgery, prepared her well to treat diverse and complex cases.
Dr. Yamaji is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and has been in practice since 2007. She also has certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Her special areas of interest include: oral pathology, maxillofacial reconstruction, facial trauma, and dentoalveolar surgeries.
